This unique half-day adventure starts with a 20-minute water taxi ride from our Lake Opeongo Store straight into the heart of the park. You’ll paddle through the peaceful Hailstorm Creek Nature Reserve, a top spot for seeing moose, beavers, herons, and loons in the wild.
Don’t forget your camera—you may spot iconic wildlife up close!
Our skilled canoe guide will lead the way, sharing local knowledge and wildlife insights. The paddling is calm and easy, making it perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers alike.
What's Included

Good To Know
- Available every day throughout the paddling season, for a minimum of two people.
- A range of departure and return times is possible.
- The services of the guide and all the necessary equipment are included in the price, but you will need to purchase an Algonquin Park day pass for parking at Lake Opeongo.
- Reservations are required for all guided trips and should be made at least two weeks in advance to ensure guide availability.
