Muskoka / Huntsville – Senior Retail Sales Associate
Algonquin Outfitters is actively seeking an experienced retail sales professional to join our Huntsville team in the role of Senior Sales Associate. If you have found your passion in the retail world, this role can provide you growth and an exceptional career path.
You will assist customers in finding the products that fit their needs, with your specialty/focus being on our technical hardgoods (camping gear, expedition and white-water canoes, touring and white-water kayaks, SUPs, mountain, road and fat bikes and more)! This is accomplished by providing support with sales and rentals, answering phones, welcoming customers to the store, and facilitating an easy check out process as a cashier. The end goal is to ensure customers find everything they need and return to AO for all their outdoor adventure needs.
A successful candidate may also have an opportunity to grow with the organization in areas with increased responsibility such as supervision and junior buying.
We are looking for someone who has a knowledge and love of the outdoors, apparel, and gear! You will bring to us 2-5 years of retail/customer service experience. Previous merchandising experience would be great but not necessary as we will train. You are someone who has the desire to go above and beyond and will help us to create an awesome experience and deliver excellent customer service.
AO is a retail operation so evening, weekend and some holiday work is part of the norm. And as you know, in a retail setting you also need to be able to be on your feet throughout much of your shift.
If we have piqued your interest and you would like to learn more about this opportunity, please send us a copy of your resume and a brief note on who you are and why you would be a great addition to the AO team. We are happy to share the more detailed job outline with prospective applicants.
Accessibility and Accommodation:

We will work with you to meet your needs in a manner that respects your dignity and independence, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
