Algonquin Outfitters (AO) is looking for energetic individuals to join us for the 2023 summer season as a Bike Rental Attendant in Algonquin Park!

As one of our Bike Rental Attendants, you will spend your day working in our open-air shop assisting our renters with having a great experience while on one of our bikes. You will guide renters with selecting a bike appropriate to their skills/riding style, the trails they will be riding and their other needs (e.g., trailer for infants or extra gear, etc.), provide information on trails including location, condition, difficulty, etc., trouble shoot minor issues with bikes and equipment when they are returned to the shop and complete ongoing maintenance of the bikes and other equipment. These jobs are ideal for individuals who are people oriented, dependable, adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment and… it helps if you like bikes!

What do we look for in our Bike Rental Attendants?

Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude go a long way as a Bike Rental Attendant. An understanding of bikes and cycling will also be helpful! Other things we look for:

• Previous related experience is a plus, but we will train if you have the right attitude and want to learn!
• Knowledge of point-of-sale systems.
• Capable of working well within a small team, where independence is also required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to address customer’s needs and guide them to the correct choices (we have over 100 to choose from!).
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.

The Bike Shop is open seven days a week (900 AM to 530 PM) from May through October. If you want to live in the Park for the summer, we offer accommodation for full-time staff.
