Y Walk 4 Women & Girls 2018
Join the 4th Annual YWalk4Women&Girls!
Meet them with your Canoe, Kayak or Paddleboard at the Brunel Locks to paddle to Port Sydney at 8:30am on Tuesday Aug 14th. If you need a canoe, kayak or paddleboard, drop by Algonquin Outfitters in Huntsville to rent one for the day, we can tie it on your car for transportation and proceeds from your rental will go toward the YWalk fund raising.
Will you step up for the women and girls of Muskoka? Join us as we walk, run and bike across Muskoka. Every kilometer you cover helps as you join in the relay.
YWalk is a chance for all of the communities of Muskoka to get together to support mental health initiatives for women and girls through YWCA programming.
Beth Ward literally walked the walk for three years, beginning in August of 2015. She created this movement to engage and recognize the people of each corner of Muskoka. By walking 200 kilometres over two weeks she demonstrated how our great region is connected and how important it is to support women and girls here at home.
The community is carrying on where Beth left off – walking, running and biking to raise funds and awareness for the YWCA Muskoka.
In a relay, we will travel through every town and township.
The walk begins on August 13 in Dwight and carries on to Georgian Bay Township over eight days ending on August 20, 2018.
We need you to take a leg of the walk in your community!
