Meet the Researcher Day 2018
Join the Algonquin Wildlife Research Station for the 10th Annual Research Day in Algonquin Park!
This Thursday, August 2, 2018, join us for our 10th Annual Research Day in Algonquin Park! Biologists and park historians will be sharing their exciting wildlife science and allied research from Algonquin Park, and beyond. This is your chance to meet the people behind Algonquin’s iconic wildlife and ask the questions that have been on your mind: What is the current status of the Algonquin moose population? Why do those turtles have numbers on their shells? How do researchers mark small mammals for long-term study? Confused about the genetics Algonquin wolves? Have salamanders on your brain?
Also, join in our fundraiser barbecue and enjoy free prizes generously donated by Algonquin Outfitters and other partners. The Annual Research Day is made possible through partnerships with The Friends of Algonquin Park, @Harkness Laboratory of Fisheries Research and Ontario Parks. This event is suitable for all ages – just bring your curiosity! We very much look forward to seeing you there!
