Algonquin Park Day Trip
Spend a day exploring Algonquin Park by canoe! This self-guided day trip is a great choice, if you don’t have time for a longer excursion or don’t feel quite ready to head into the woods overnight.
This is an excellent way to sample what Algonquin Park has to offer! Navigate a choice of lakes or rivers at your own pace, using a lightweight canoe from Algonquin Outfitters. Ideal for couples, families or groups of friends, this day trip is a good option for active people who want to enjoy the great outdoors or test their paddling skills before planning a longer canoe trip. We provide the canoes or kayaks, paddles, life jackets, route suggestions and other helpful advice.
Remember to pack a lunch or pick up some snacks at our store before you head out
The basic price is for a two-person canoe with two paddles, two life jackets and a safety kit. The package includes a car-top carrying kit and assistance to tie the canoe atop your vehicle, if needed, as well as route advice. Three-seat canoes, solo canoes and kayaks are also available. This day trip is offered by our stores at Oxtongue Lake, Canoe Lake and Lake Opeongo, conditions permitting. You will need an Algonquin Park day pass, which can be purchased online or when you enter the park.
