Ragged Falls Canoe or Kayak Trip
Enjoy an easy lake and river paddle to the base of scenic Ragged Falls, leaving right from our Oxtongue Lake dock.
This is one of our most popular day trips! The self-guided excursion starts and ends at our Oxtongue Lake store and can be done in 3-4 hours by canoe, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard.
Take a picnic lunch and a camera! Once you see this beautiful waterfall from the below, you may want to get out, hike to the top and view the spectacular cataract from above. You can explore the trails beside the river above the falls or go for a swim at the bottom. If you don’t have time to paddle all the way to Ragged Falls, you can simply cruise around the bay near our dock on Oxtongue Lake.
This excursion is available May through early October, conditions permitting.
Rentals must be returned at least 20 minutes before the store closes for the day

What's Included
The price includes a two-person canoe, safety kit, paddles and map. Kayaks, three-person canoes and our 10-passenger North Canoe (a replica of the canoes used by the Voyageurs) are also available – please inquire.

- This excursion is available weather and water conditions permitting.
- Prices are for same-day rentals on Oxtongue Lake only.
- Reservations are not normally required, but they are recommended for larger groups or North Canoe rentals.
