Hailstorm Creek
Experience some of the best wildlife viewing Algonquin Park has to offer, within a protected nature reserve in the North Arm of Lake Opeongo.
This unique excursion allows day-trippers to explore scenic Hailstorm Creek in Lake Opeongo’s North Arm without having to worry about paddling on a big lake. Our water taxi transports people and canoes (or kayaks) safely from our Lake Opeongo store deep into Algonquin Park in just 20 minutes, then returns at a prearranged pick-up time.
Wide, placid Hailstorm Creek winds through a beautiful wetland where wildlife viewing opportunities abound, particularly for moose. You’ll spend time exploring the Hailstorm Creek Nature Reserve while enjoying the opportunity to be out in the wilderness amid amazing scenery.
