2021 Paddle Art Display @ Algonquin Theatre

The Algonquin Outfitters 2021 charity paddle art auction will be live online from September 13th to September 27th. You’ll be able to view the paddles (and canoes) live in Partner’s Hall at the Algonquin Theatre in downtown Huntsville starting September 1st, 2021 with a special viewing on Saturday, Sept 25th from 10 am until 4 pm at the Algonquin Theatre.

Directions & Main Street Construction

Because of the construction in downtown Huntsville, we recommend parking behind the Algonquin Theatre on High Street [directions].  You can enter by the back door, go down the stairs and follow the corridor around to the right to find the paddles and canoes in Partner’s Hall on the lower level just behind the main entrance.

NOTE: The Algonquin Theatre is currently only open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, closed on weekends and evenings. There will be a special showing on Saturday, Sept 25th from 10 am to 4 pm for those who wish to view the paddles on a Saturday.

All the paddles are on display at the Algonquin Theatre, as of the afternoon of Friday, Sept 10th.  We’re also working to have all the paddles on the auction site for previewing by Saturday, Sept 11th, 2021.  It takes time to photograph and enter all the information about the paddles on the auction site, thank you for your patience.

Online Auction will be hosted from Sept 13th until the evening of Monday, Sept 27th, 2021

 


Group of Seven Canoes by Jerry Lantaigne and the Huntsville Festival of the Arts

We have a very special addition to the Paddle Art Auction this year, in the form of 7 unique, Group of Seven canoes.

The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Group of Seven Artists. We’re celebrating this momentous occasion with a special art project taking place in downtown Huntsville throughout the summer. Local artist Gerry Lantaigne, known for his work on the Group of 7 Outdoor Gallery, has created seven brand new murals, each painted on the underside of a canoe and featuring the work of one of the Group of 7 members.

All seven, Group of Seven canoes will be available in the Algonquin Outfitters Paddle Art Auction in September 2021.

2021 Paddle Art Display @ Algonquin Theatre

The Algonquin Outfitters 2021 charity paddle art auction will be live online from September 13th to September 27th. You’ll be able to view the paddles (and canoes) live in Partner’s Hall at the Algonquin Theatre in downtown Huntsville starting September 1st, 2021 with a special viewing on Saturday, Sept 25th from 10 am until 4 pm at the Algonquin Theatre.

Directions & Main Street Construction

Because of the construction in downtown Huntsville, we recommend parking behind the Algonquin Theatre on High Street [directions].  You can enter by the back door, go down the stairs and follow the corridor around to the right to find the paddles and canoes in Partner’s Hall on the lower level just behind the main entrance.

NOTE: The Algonquin Theatre is currently only open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, closed on weekends and evenings. There will be a special showing on Saturday, Sept 25th from 10 am to 4 pm for those who wish to view the paddles on a Saturday.

All the paddles are on display at the Algonquin Theatre, as of the afternoon of Friday, Sept 10th.  We’re also working to have all the paddles on the auction site for previewing by Saturday, Sept 11th, 2021.  It takes time to photograph and enter all the information about the paddles on the auction site, thank you for your patience.

Online Auction will be hosted from Sept 13th until the evening of Monday, Sept 27th, 2021

 


Group of Seven Canoes by Jerry Lantaigne and the Huntsville Festival of the Arts

We have a very special addition to the Paddle Art Auction this year, in the form of 7 unique, Group of Seven canoes.

The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Group of Seven Artists. We’re celebrating this momentous occasion with a special art project taking place in downtown Huntsville throughout the summer. Local artist Gerry Lantaigne, known for his work on the Group of 7 Outdoor Gallery, has created seven brand new murals, each painted on the underside of a canoe and featuring the work of one of the Group of 7 members.

All seven, Group of Seven canoes will be available in the Algonquin Outfitters Paddle Art Auction in September 2021.

Here is your chance to own one of the Group of Seven style canoes by Gerry Lantaigne and the Huntsville Festival of the Arts or one of 75 painted paddles by local artists. All of the canoes and paddles are on display at the Algonquin Theatre until Monday, September 27th.

The auction will be held online, just like a live auction. The first lot will start to close at 8 pm EST on Monday, September 27th. You’ll have two minutes to bid on that lot before the next one starts to close. As a live auction, if there are bids in the last minute, the bidding will continue until no more bids are received. Be prepared to defend your bids!

All the canoes and paddles are on display at the Algonquin Theatre, in Downtown Huntsville until Monday Sept 27th 2021.  You can view the items Monday to Friday from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm with a special showing on Saturday Sept 27th from 10 am until 4 pm.  Because of Main Street construction it’s best to access the theatre’s back door from High Street and take the stairs down and follow the corridor around to the right to Partner’s Hall.

Mountain bikes are available for rental at the store. All of our bikes are mid to high-end products from great brands like Specialized and Salsa, they are available in a variety of frame sizes and include a helmet in the rental rates. We also rent youth bikes and Trail-a-Bikes for the early years riders. How about a trailer for the infant or your extra gear? We rent those too!  The Old Railway Bike Trail is easily accessible from the Lake of Two Rivers Store and is a great way to see the park from a new perspective!
