If you don’t feel quite ready to venture into the interior, Algonquin Park also has 12 drive-in campgrounds available for visitors who want a slightly different camping experience. Most of these are along the Highway #60 corridor, with easy access to park facilities, day trips by canoe, walking trails and other options. There are picnic areas, beautiful sand beaches, hiking trails and some amazing scenery.

You don’t have to be an expert canoeist, or even a camper, to enjoy Algonquin Park. Many people stay at local lodges, motels or cottage resorts and enjoy short excursions. Full and half-day canoe, kayak and bike rentals are available at Algonquin Outfitters for day outings. Our guided day trips are a perfect way to get a taste of what a longer trip might be like.
