Algonquin Outfitters – March 17, 2020

To our valued friends and customers,

As a responsible member of our community, province and nation dealing with the ongoing Coronavirus threat and recently declared provincial emergency, Algonquin Outfitters has temporarily closed ALL locations normally open at this time. This includes our stores in Huntsville, Oxtongue Lake, Bracebridge and Haliburton. All seasonal locations are expected to open as usual, although this situation could change.

Algonquin Outfitters Coronavirus UpdateThis closure will be in effect for the remainder of the current Ontario school closure period and will very likely extend beyond – we are gauging the situation daily and will update our customers by social media and on our website if changes are made.

Our administrative and reservations staff will be working remotely and are available by email and telephone, please see contact information below.

Summer trips are still a few months away and we remain hopeful that the situation will have stabilized to a point where it is safe to operate our rental and outfitting business again. If you have already booked for the 2020 season, please be assured that if you need to change or cancel your plans due to the Coronavirus outbreak, you can do so free of charge.

As of Friday, March 13, we have waived our standard cancellation policy for all rental & outfitting reservations. You can book online with confidence and our reservations desk remains open seven days a week, 9-5, to help you plan your Algonquin Park adventures.

If you are visiting Algonquin Park, Haliburton or Muskoka in the near future, please come prepared. Many local stores and facilities are currently closed to the public, and we are not offering any rental services during our closure.
