Day Trip - Lake Opeongo Kayaking
Algonquin Park's largest lake is an ideal location for
day-long kayaking trips. Our Opeongo Store, located right
at the access point at the southern end, is the perfect
spot to start your kayaking tour. Kayaks are well suited
for Lake Opeongo as they offer an efficient, safe and intimate
way to explore a large body of water. Kayaks handle open
water with ease and many trip possibilities exist without
the need for portaging. Lake Opeongo offers a unique paddling
experience in Algonquin Park - the lake's many bays and
scenic campsites, abundance of wildlife and excellent fishing
for lake trout and smallmouth bass all combine to make this
a special day trip.

Departure Times
Daily from 7am. Available mid May to early October, weather
and water conditions permitting.

Price includes a touring or recreational kayak with storage
hatches, kayak paddle, life jacket, safety kit, route map
and route advice from one of our staff. You may want to
