We here at AO are big believers in helping
our community, whether it's local charities or athletic
endeavors. Here's a quick list of things we help with.
Community mountain bike ride every Tuesday in Huntsville.
Public kayaking club every Wednesday night in Huntsville
on the Muskoka River.
We support and sponsor the "Spin the Lakes"
road bike event every spring.
Our Hidden Valley shop promotes and organizes several
events at Hidden Valley Ski area each Winter.
Arrowhead's ski loppet is supported by AO every year.
Photography is supported in Algonquin by 3 photo contest
we organize every year.
Enhanced Huntsville Arts and Culture through sponsoring
the Warren Miller Film, Banff Mountain Film Festival and
Reel Paddling Film festival at the Algonquin Theatre
Sponsored two, Group of Seven, paintings on the Algonquin
Outfitters store in downtown Huntsville
Co-organize and support the Great Wilderness Clean
up every spring.
Support Muskoka river clean up event every spring by
providing boats, etc.
Participation in all downtown Huntsville events, Firefly
Festival, Sidewalk sale, Classic Car show, Muskoka Iron
Man 70.3, girlfriends getaway weekend etc.
Created a Design a Skateboard Deck contest in support
of the Huntsville Skateboard Park to engage youth, raised
over $5000 to support Rotary's efforts to complete the
Huntsville Skate Park.
These are but a few of the various programs we support.
If you are involved in an outdoor activity that promotes healthy living and respect of the environment with in Muskoka, Algonquin Park or Haliburton we may be able to help. Unfortunately we get daily requests from organizations and individuals that would like us to donate to their cause so we can not possibly get involved in every one.
